Refurbished Play Park
Our play park was fully refurbished in May 2017, with new and improved equipment for an even more fun experience for children.
Our grateful thanks to all those generous donors to last year’s Play park Appeal and especially to WREN who’s grant enabled us to reach our target and get the work done ahead of our main season.
Our New Appeal
A stunning sensory sunken garden to liven up a dull corner.
This is an artist’s impression of what it could look like. The garden will be wheelchair friendly and the planting carefully chosen to stimulate the senses – including scented and edible plants. A water feature will add sound and enhance what will be a quiet corner for both disabled and able bodied visitors.
We have already begun receiving donations specifically for this project that has captured the imagination of many of our supporters. The garden is the latest in our ongoing improvement of our lovely little park
Member, supporters and volunteers
They keep us going!
We are entirely self-supporting and run as a charity by our members with no public funding. There are loads of ways you can support us and we’re always looking for
volunteers to give us hand for everything from gardening to handing out leaflets.
Want to become a member click here for details of who qualifies and for your downloadable membership application form – you only have to join once and it’s free, but you get to help decide policy and are the first to hear our news and plans.
You can download the handy Supporters and Volunteers packs that list ways you can help and there’s a new simple form for volunteers so we know who we can call on for what and when. Click here for your copy or collect the packs and forms from Woodhall Spa library.
WATCH THIS SPACE AND ‘GET ACTIVE!’
We’ll be doing our bit to help residents and visitors improve their health and well-being this year with a new ‘Get Active’ campaign to help and encourage everyone to use our facilities and those of the sporting clubs we host.
More about that as the season progresses.
